07 May 2015
MFB firefighters attended a fire in a two-storey Californian bungalow house overnight.

When MFB crews arrived to the house in Irvine Crescent, Brunswick West, they found that the fire had broken through the tiled roof on the second-storey attic.

An aggressive internal and external attack brought the fire under control very quickly confining the fire damage to the attic section.  It is expected  that the damage will be around $100,000.

The fire started from an electrical fault.

Quick action from the three residents ensured that MFB was notified early and all residents were able to evacuate safely.
