back to list
28 Nov 2012
Fire crews responded to a double storey weatherboard house to find the second storey heavily smoke logged and that a significant portion of the roof lining had collapsed.

Fortunately there was only one person in residence at the time and he self evacuated and reported the fire to 000.
Crews have had to implement safe working from heights practices working in harnesses whilst combating the incident.  It is anticipated crews will work throughout the day to ensure all hot spots have been extinguished.
Ambulance Victoria were requested to attend to treat the occupant for shock.
MFB Fire Investigation Unit will investigate the cause later today.
Approximately 21 firefighters attended.
