19 Nov 2018
MFB firefighters have extinguished a house fire in Maribyrnong this evening.

Crews were called to the Middle Road home just before 8.15pm after neighbours spotted flames coming from a first floor bedroom.

Luckily, the occupants of the home had self evacuated prior to MFB's arrival.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the burning building and managed to get the fire under control just eight minutes after arriving.

Paramedics checked two residents on scene who had been exposed to smoke.
