House fire in Orrong Avenue, Reservoir

Firefighters protected neighbouring properties

Just before 6.30pm this evening, MFB received fire calls to a unit fire in Orrong Avenue, Reservoir, with the initial call from the occupants reporting smoke filling the house and fire in the roof.

When crews arrived on scene they found the house substantially involved with the blaze threatening properties on two sides.

Occupants were evacuated and Ambulance Victoria were on scene to treat an occupant who suffered burns to their forearms.

The fire was brought under control in under thirty minutes and it's cause will be investigated.

Eight appliances and twenty six firefighters tackled the blaze.
