House fire in Pascoe Vale

One front room was severely damaged by fire; a neighbour was transported to hospital suffering smoke inhalation.

Cumberland Rd/Bolingbroke St, Pascoe Vale

Fire involved a single-storey brick veneer house.

One room at the front of the premises has been severely damaged by fire while the remainder of the premises has been damaged by heat, smoke and water.

Several callers indicated there was somebody trapped in the burning building.

Firefighters searched the premises under threat of the roof collapsing, they found nobody inside.

The roof area of the premises has also been extensively damaged by fire.

A neighbour attempting to access the premises has been transported to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

The fire was under control 30 minutes. Breathing apparatus in operation. Fire duty in place. MFB Fire Investigation Unit will attend during daylight hours to establish a cause.
