House fire in Rosanna caused by leaking LPG bottle.

Numerous calls were received for the fire at the single storey brick house in Rosanna.

Address: Douglas St/Grove Rd, Rosanna.

The two occupants of the premises, a mother and son managed to self evacuate from the premises but have suffered some smoke inhalation.

They were treated on-scene by Ambulance Victoria before being transported to hospital for observation.

Three quarters of the house including the contents have been severely damaged by fire while the remainder of the premises has been damaged by heat and smoke.

Under control in 20 minutes.

The cause of the fire is believed to be from a leaking LPG gas cylinder, when the fumes made contact with the pilot light.
