A number of Triple Zero (000) calls alerted MFB firefighters to a house fire in Sunshine North this evening.

Crews were called to the residence at Plymouth Close at 6:35pm and arrived on scene in just over five minutes. They were met with a double-fronted, single storey brick veneer home fully alight.

Firefighters equipped in Breathing Apparatus conducted an aggressive internal and external attack on the blaze. Their quick work limited the fire to the rear of the property and the fire was brought under control in 25 minutes.

There were no reported injuries. Thankfully the occupants self-evacuated before MFB crews arrived.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
