back to list
29 Oct 2012
MFB firefighters arrived on scene within minutes of receiving the first call for a single storey home which was well alight.

Firefighters were forced to employ an external defensive attack on the fire as the roof had collapsed in on the brick veneer home. Soon after an internal search confirmed there were no occupants home.
The fire took 20 minutes to bring under control, with firefighters present into the evening whilst continuing to extinguish and maintaining fire duties.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage and will be investigated by MFB specialist Fire Investigators.
Approximately 30 firefighters attend the fire.
