MFB and CFA firefighters have spent the early hours of this morning battling a house fire in Williams Landing.

Crews were alerted to the incident on Shepherd Street following several Triple Zero (000) calls just after 4am this morning.

Approximately 30 firefighters responded and arrived to find the second storey of the house up in flames.

Wearing Breathing Apparatus for protection, firefighters conducted a search of the house and confirmed it was unoccupied.

Firefighting appliances attacked the flames from above while crews worked together to bring the fire under control in approximately 30 minutes.
