Investigation into deliberately lit grassfire in Sunshine North

Police are investigating a deliberately lit grassfire in Sunshine North.

Firefighters were called to the incident on Bunnett Street, Sunshine North, about 7.30pm.

The fire was approximately 15 acres (six hectares) in size and was deemed under control in 35 minutes.

Crews remained on scene for several hours to ensure there were no flare ups.

The fire has been deemed suspicious and Police will investigate.
