Keilor house fire to be investigated

Residents in Keilor were warned of thick smoke after a house fire early Saturday morning.

Crews were called to the McNabbs Road property just after midnight.

The brick and tin house measured 10 by 15 metres and was well alight when crews arrived.

The fire took 40 minutes to bring under control and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

A community warning was issued for the area due to the amount of smoke generated from the fire.

Breathing apparatus was in use.
