Kitchen fire in Braybrook

MFB crews responded to a reported explosion in the kitchen of a house in Braybrook

Firefighters were called to the home just before 12:30pm and were met with heavy smoke within the premise. 

The fire was extinguished before crews arrived, however, the female occupant sustained burns due to the incident. MFB crews provided medical support to the individual and she was transported to hospital by Ambulance Victoria.  

The fire is believed to have originated in the kitchen and fire investigators are currently on scene to determine a cause.

Victoria Police is also in attendance.
