MFB and ARFF respond to chemical leak at airport

Firefighters are responding to a hazmat incident at Melbourne Airport.

Crews were called to Reid Way, Tullamarine, at 8.53am.

The incident involves approximately 5000 by 450g from small propylene cylinders in a shipping container.

Some of these cylinders have developed a leak.

The MFB, Victoria Police and other services will be on scene for some time unloading the container and ensuring the scene is safe.  

ARFF are also on scene.
