MFB and Airport Fire Service work together at Tullamarine factory fire

A blaze at a Tullamarine caravan repair business has caused almost $100,000 damage overnight.

MFB crews were called to the business at 5 International Square, Tullamarine, at 1:50am.

The fire involved a caravan repair business in a single storey factory in an industrial complex. 

MFB crews wearing breathing apparatus and assisted by a crew from the airport fire service contained the fire and prevented any spread into adjoining premises.

The fire was brought under control in under 40 minutes.

The damage is initially estimated to be approximately $100 000.

There are no reports of injuries.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Nine appliances and 24 firefighters attended the incident.
