MFB attends house fire in Albanvale

Firefighters brought the fire under control in 20 minutes

Just before 5pm this afternoon, MFB received a number of calls to a house fire in Dover Street, Albanvale.

Arriving on scene MFB found the house fully alight with flames issuing and the fire threatening neighbouring properties.

Due to the amount of smoke in the area a community advice was issued.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus attacked the fire which took 20 minutes to bring under control. Their swift actions protected the adjoining properties.

25 firefighters and seven appliances tackled the blaze, including an appliance and firefighters from the CFA.

The cause of the fire will be investigated.
