Fire started in garage and quickly spread to roof

Just before 3.30pm today, MFB crews received a fire call to house fire in Alburnum Court, Templestowe Lower.

Arriving on scene, crews found the fire had already spread from the garage into the roof space, and then into the roof space of the house.

MFB firefighters in breathing apparatus quickly attacked the fire and their swift actions brought the fire under control in just over twenty minutes.

Seven appliances and twenty two firefighters were on scene, assisted by one CFA crew.

The cause of the fire will be investigated.
