Seven appliances and over twenty firefighters fought the blaze

Just after 10am today, MFB crews received a fire call to a single storey brick veneer house in Illuka Crescent.

On arrival they found the house fully involved in fire and the occupants had escaped safely.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus fought the fire internally and externally and the fire was brought under control just before 11am.

MFB will remain on scene for some time and the cause of the fire will be investigated.
