MFB investigating noxious fumes

MFB is investigating a noxious gas leak at the head office of Acquire Learning in Hawthorn that has seen 400 people evacuated from the building

Ambulance Victoria is treating up to 20 staff members at the building at 600 Glenferrie Rd Hawthorn and four people have been sent to hospital suffering headaches and nausea.

MFB’s Hazmat team and the MFB Scientific Officer are working to determine the source of the gas and to identify the fumes.

The fumes are contained within the building and there is no threat to the surrounding community.
