MFB rescues elederly woman in house fire

MFB firefighters attended a house fire on Sunday morning in Baird St Mulgrave and found an unconscious elderly woman.

Twelve MFB firefighters managed to contain the fired to one room of the house. The fire was brought under control in 14 minutes and fully extinguished soon after.

 

The elderly lady was treated with oxygen by firefighters until ambulance officers arrived and took over treatment. She was then transported to hospital.

 

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
