MFB specialist rescue operators and firefighters were called to an entrapment at a paint company in Brunswick yesterday afternoon.

On arrival they found a 25 year old female worker with her hand and arm trapped within a paint mixer.  It took firefighters 20 minutes to release her from the shaft of the equipment.

Paramedics administered pain relief during the extraction and she was later transported to hospital by ambulance.

Worksafe will be investigating.
