Swift actions of firefighters brings fire under control in under 30 minutes

Just before 10.30pm MFB was called to a house fire in Mulgoa Street, Brighton.

Arriving on scene in five minutes crews found the roof of the two storey house alight, and MFB firefighters in breathing apparatus tackled the blaze.

Due to the swift response and actions of the firefighters the fire was brought under control just before 11pm.

Seven appliances and twenty five firefighters were on scene.

MFB will remain at the property for the next few hours and the cause of the fire will be investigated in the morning.
