Malvern Restaurant Fire

MFB crews from Malvern & Windsor were called when reports of fire and smoke coming from windows on both floors were received from 000 callers.

The fire and smoke has caused considerable damage to both levels and crews conducted a search of both levels on their arrival. Firefighters removed roofing iron to check for fire spread.

Two persons have been transported to hospital by Ambulance, one with smoke inhalation and one with minor burns.

No cause has been ascertained and an MFB Fire Investigator will attend later in the day.

No damage estimate is available and the fire took 15 mins to bring under control.

A crew will be in attendance during the day to ensure the fire is completely extinguished.
