A man has been hospitalised after a house fire in Broadmeadows.

Crews were called to the single storey property on Dacelo Street just after 9.15pm.
The first truck was on scene in four minutes.
Bystanders stated that there could be someone inside so crews immediately entered the burning property with hoses and conducted a search.
One male was found inside and removed from the house and placed in the care of Ambulance Victoria.  He was assessed by AV and taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.  The male was found in the bedroom and there was no report of a working smoke alarm being audible.
The fire was quickly brought under control in 15 minutes.
A cause has not been determined at this stage but is not being treated as suspicious.
