Man injured in tractor explosion in Altona North

A tractor fire sparked a grass fire in Altona North this afternoon.

Crews were called to the incident on Millers Road in Altona North about 3pm.

It appears the tractor exploded, causing the blaze, however further investigations are underway.

A man has been treated by Ambulance Victoria for burns as a result of the incident.

Firefighters stopped the fire from spreading to a nearby Bunnings and have now declared the grass fire under control.
