Man receives burns after apartment fire

A 60-year-old man received burns after a fire in his Kensington home on Sunday morning.

Fire crews were called to the Ormond Street apartment complex at 11am.

On arrival they found a fire on level six. The fire was confined to the apartment by the installed sprinkler system but a 60-year-old male suffered burns.

Level six was evacuated as a precaution

Ambulance Victoria attended to the patient with burns and Victoria Police assisted with the evacuation.
