Cafe fire in Clifton Hill

MFB crews were called to a cafe on Spensley Street at 8:46am this morning.

Firefighters in Breathing Apparatus commenced an internal attack on the 10 by 5 metre building which was fully involved.

The fire spread into the cafe's roof space and adjoining businesses were evacuated. There were no injuries.

The blaze was brought under control at 9:14am.

Victoria Police assisted on scene with evacuations and traffic control while ambulance crews assisted with health monitoring.

The cafe's power supplier will also attend.
