02 Dec 2017
MFB crews received multiple calls around 3:45pm this afternoon for a house fire in Delaware Street, Reservoir.

Reports were that all occupants had evacuated from the house but one person had to be restrained from going back inside as two dogs were unaccounted for and believed to be inside the house.

On arrival firefighters found the front end of a single storey house well alight and had to call for additional resources.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus conducted both internal and external attacks on the property.

The fire was brought under control in 25 minutes.

The quick action of MFB crews contained the fire to the front two rooms of the structure.

At this stage no cause has been established and MFB crews will remain on scene for a number of hours.

Unfortunately one dog has been confirmed deceased while the other is unaccounted for.
