Factory fire in South Kingsville under control in 50 minutes

MFB firefighters were called to a factory fire on New Street at 4:47am this morning.

Crews arrived to find the rear of the 40 by 30 metre building on fire.

Firefighers in Breathing Apparatus entered the single-storey building and found no-one inside.

A total of 27 firefighters worked hard to contain the fire to a 15 by 15 metre area of the building's ground and mezzanine levels.

Ambulance Victoria assisted on scene. 

The cause of the blaze is currently unknown and Fire Investigators will attend.
