Fire damages house under construction in Glen Waverley

MFB firefighters quickly extinguished a fire that broke out in a house under construction in Glen Waverley this afternoon.

Crews arrived to the two storey property on Myrtle Street at 2:12pm to find the smoke coming from the roof space.

More than 20 firefighters in breathing apparatus firefighters knocked down the fire and brought it under control in 23 minutes.

There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire was deemed accidental.
