Forklift on fire in Campbellfield Factory

Reports of smoke and explosions in Campbellfield saw Firefighters called to a factory on Capital Links Drive just before 6pm.

Initial crews arrived on scene and called for additional resources after they were met with smoke issuing from a single storey factory.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus made their way into the building, where they found a forklift that had caught fire.

Quick work from the crews saw the fire under control within just 9 minutes, with firefighters limiting the damage to the forklift and a few pallets of flour.

At the height of the incident there were 13 firefighters in attendance on three pumpers and two other units. Crews were assisted by Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria.
