MFB’s specialist High Angle Rescue Technicians have rescued two men who were trapped in a lift on Queen Street in Melbourne’s CBD this evening.

Approximately 11 firefighters were called just before 8pm after the men got stuck between two floors almost an hour earlier.

Together with the lift mechanic, the specialist firefighters worked for more than an hour to remove the pair using a ladder and harnesses.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria supported MFB at the scene.

Thankfully both occupants were released without injury.
