MFB is currently attending to some drums left on Plateau Rd.

Crews responded at 11:37am to a call for 30 drums that were unloaded and left in an industrial estate with seals on two of the drums compromised.

Firefighters in Breathing Apparatus and HAZMAT crews are using the drums' labels to identify the chemical and mitigate any risk to the community.

The incident was deemed under control within 40 minutes.

A motorhome parked adjacent to the drums was searched by crews and given the all clear.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria have also been assisting, and the Environment Protection Authority has been notified.

Crews will remain on scene until approximately 2:30pm.
