Lucky escape for family of six in Albanvale

A family of six had a lucky escape when a fire ripped through their Albanvale home last night.

MFB firefighters were called to the Camelot Drive address about 9pm following numerous Triple Zero (000) calls from members of the public.

They arrived to find the single storey home ablaze with flames showing through the roof.

Luckily, Four adults and two children had already safely fled the property.

Firefighters managed to contain the fire to the front of the house and got it under control within 30 minutes.

The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
