MFB Fire Investigators will probe the cause of a fire which broke out at a Maidstone unit early this morning.

Crews were called to the premises in Montgomery St just before 6.30am to find flames through the roof.

The occupants of the home had self evacuated before firefighters arrived.
It took crews 25 minutes to bring the fire under control.
