07 Oct 2017
MFB crews had a busy start to the morning following a house fire in Bentleigh overnight.

Firefighters were called to the unit on Gilmour Road about 1.10am.

They mounted an internal attack on the blaze and got it under control within 30 minutes.

The house was destroyed in the fire but firefighters managed to stop it from spreading to a neighbouring unit which shared the same roof line.

Victoria Police is investigating the cause of the incident.
