Series of fires in Glenroy

back to list
14 Feb 2018
Firefighters have had a busy afternoon in Glenroy where several fires broke out this afternoon.

MFB and CFA crews were called to the vicinity of Jacana Railway Station just after 2.30pm following numerous calls to Triple Zero (000).

It's believed a goods train sparked a number of fires which were quickly extinguished by crews.

Trains were stopped between Jacana and Broadmeadows stations but services have now resumed.

Firefighters remain on scene.
