Suspicious fire engulfs factory in Epping

More than 25 MFB and CFA firefighters battled a factory fire in Epping early this morning.

Crews were alerted to the call just before 3am and were met with a 30 x 20 metre factory on Buch Ave well alight. There were also a number of vehicles alight inside the property.

The size of the fire was threatening two structures on either side of the building but firefighting efforts quickly isolated the blaze and prevented it from spreading.

The fire was deemed under control in 45 minutes.

The incident was deemed suspicious and was has been handed over to Victoria Police for investigation.
