Swift Water Task Force deployed to assist with Victorian floods

This afternoon MFB deployed a Swift Water Task Force to a staging area in Yea to assist the community in regional Victoria affected by flooding.

Over the next four days, the team of 12 MFB personnel will provide Swift Water rescue and technical expertise to VicSES, CFA, Victoria Police and other emergency service agencies involved in flood response in the nearby town of Yarck. 
The deployment includes four technical operations vehicles with specialist swift water rescue equipment, and one Command vehicle. 
The specialist team is being led by Commander Peter Yeoman.
