More than 50 firefighters are battling a factory fire in North Melbourne

More than 50 firefighters are battling a large factory fire in North Melbourne.

Crews were called to the Macaulay Road building at 7.20am
The first crews on scene requested additional appliances be responded. 
Firefighters worked to protect adjoining buildings and also attacked the fire using aerial appliances. 
The single storey building is reportedly 15 metres by 40 metres, totally involved with partial collapse to the rear.
Police and AV are on scene.
