Mulgrave vehicle explosion.

MFB, along with Police and Ambulance ​responded to the reports of an explosion and car fire this morning.

On arrival it was found that a gas explosion possibly Oxy Acetylene (used in plumbing and refrigeration works) has destroyed a vehicle, severely injuring a male and damaged many adjacent homes with debris been thrown many metres from the site.
 
MFB have called in its Fire Investigation Unit and they will work with Police to determine a cause. No estimate of damage has yet been ascertained.
 
MFB crews will be in attendance for unknown time.
