15 May 2017
An overheating light has been determined as the cause of a fire which broke out in a Footscray shop late last night.

Crews were called to the premises on Hopkins St just before 11.30pm and arrived in under four minutes.
Fireys found a two storey shop with fire on the ground level and quickly forced entry and went inside wearing breathing apparatus.
Firefighters extinguished the fire last night and specialist fire investigators attended the scene this morning to conduct an investigation.
The investigation revealed that an overheating light which had been incorrectly installed was the cause of the blaze.
