Preston storage facility fire

The fire was contained to a storage facility in a combined carpark basement of Rydges Hotel and Bell Centre Warehouse.

Basement area car park on four levels were heavily smoke logged forcing fire fighters to use extensive breathing apparatus in trying to locate and extinguish the fire. The storage shed, 6x5m including the contents has been severely damaged by fire.

Approximately 20 persons were evacuated from the area without injury. Under control in 60 minutes. Extensive BA in operation. MFB Fire Investigation Unit will attend to establish a cause.
