Recycling plant fire produces large amount of smoke

Today the MFB attended a large fire at a recycling plant

MFB responded to a fire at 10.41am at the recycling plant at 304 Mahoneys Rd Thomastown.  A large combination of whitegoods, plastics and cardboard was alight, producing an enormous amount of smoke, which drifted across the Ring Road.

MFB issued a Community Advice to inform people in the vicinity where the smoke was anticipated to spread. The fire took approximately 60 minutes to bring under control and the cause is still under investigation.
