Reservoir factory fire

Firefighters are on scene at a factory fire in Edwardes St, Reservoir.

Crews were called to the premises about 7.30pm following a number  of Triple Zero (000) calls and arrived to find the smoke alarms sounding and smoke issuing from the building.

The brick and metal building measures 10m x 30m.

Firefighters evacuated a number of people from a nearby premises as a precaution and mounted an internal attack on the blaze.

The fire was under control in approximately 30 minutes.

Crews are expected to be on scene for some time and community members are advised to avoid the area.
