24 Oct 2019
MFB firefighters have successfully brought a fire which broke out at a Reservoir unit under control in less than 40 minutes

Crews were called to the unit on Wilson Boulevard just before 1:30pm and arrived on scene to find flames had taken hold of the back of the home.

Thankfully, the residents evacuated the unit safely and will be assessed by Ambulance Victoria paramedics.

It’s not yet known how the fire started, but crews are expected to remain on scene for some time as there is a large fuel load.

At the peak of the fire there were approximately 30 firefighters on scene and seven appliances, along with three other units.

Crews on scene are working to extinguish any remaining hot spots and monitoring the area.
