Search for resident after suspicious Deer Park fire

MFB firefighters have made quick work of a fire which broke out in Deer Park this evening.

Crews received numerous calls via Triple Zero (000) from concerned neighbours who spotted flames emanating from the Newbury St house just after 7pm.
Firefighters managed to contain the fire to one room and get it under control within 15 minutes.
Several occupants were treated by Ambulance Victoria paramedics for possible smoke inhalation.
Firefighters are making enquiries for a female resident who is unaccounted for.
Several searches of the house were conducted but crews have so far been unable to locate her.
The fire is being treated as suspicious.
