back to list
09 Jun 2015
MFB quickly increased its response due to the sheer number of calls to the fire on the corner of Canterbury Rd and Middleborough Rd Box Hill South

MFB received the first of multiple calls for this shop fire, believed to be an Indian takeaway restaurant, at 2.28am on Monday 8 June.

On arrival firefighters found the single-storey brick shop, measuring approximately 4 x 15m fully involved with fire and threatening the adjoining shops.  Firefighters mounted an aggressive attack on the fire and successfully minimised the impact on the other shops.

It took 35 minutes to bring the fire under control and the cause is being investigated.
