Smoke over Campbellfield after fire at car parts supplier

More than 50 firefighters are battlng a large fire in Campbellfield.

MFB firefighters are responding to a large fire in Campbellfield.

Crews were called to the Sydney Road property, which is believed to be a lot selling cars and car parts, at 8.47pm.

A large factory on site, measuring 30 by 60 metres, was fully ablaze when firefighters arrived on scene.

Firefighters are taking precautions as there are full gas cylinders located on the property.

There are 19 apppliances and 55 firefighters on scene.

Smoke from the blaze is blowing in a south-westerly direction and does not pose a threat to the community.

Local residents are urged to visit www.emergency.vic.gov.au for updates and advice.

Breathing apparatus is in use. A cause is yet to be determined.
