10 May 2015
Windy weather caused havoc in the city yesterday with specialist crews called to secure panelling hanging from a CBD building.

The MFB High Angle Rescue Team was called to the Bourke Street building just before 11am on Sunday 10 May.

Passersby were reporting a panel measuring five metres long had come loose and was hanging from the side of the building at the 27th floor level, in danger of falling on pedestrians and cars below.

Specialist firefighters with high angle rescue equipment were dispatched to the incident.

Parts of Bourke Street were blocked off by police as crews secured the panelling.
