St Albans home damaged by fire

Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of a St Albans fire overnight.

Crews were called to a home on Errington Road at 3.30am.

On arrival they discovered the fire involved a detached garage/recreation room at rear of residence.

The building was severely damaged by fire with damage estimated at $30,000.

No injuries were reported. Breathing apparatus was utilised.

Firefighters took 32 minutes to bring the fire under control.
